1.  In addition to the general distribution of cards, members are encouraged to extend 5 personal invitations.  Each Sunday morning we ask you to submit a card so that we can begin praying with you for those to whom you have extended personal invitations.

2. These personal invitation should be followed up on between October 25 - 28

3.  Distribute other invitations by leaving them with waitstaff at restaurants, posting on community bulletin boards, handing to cashier at your local grocery or discount store, etc.

4.  Help distribute these through the neighborhood of the church on October 21.

Sunday Morning

Sunday School 10 A.M.

  • Children's classes by age from Nursery through Juniors.  All the classrooms are in the South Wing.  2 hours of Bible instruction, interaction with peers, snack time, songs, crafts related to the lesson.
  • Youth, ages 12 - 18 in the youth room until 10:45 A.M. Summer Theme: "Pressure Cooker."  Study Bible characters and their responses to pressure from various sources.
  • Adults, in Fellowship Hall until 10:45 A.M.
  • New Life Builders, North Wing until 10:45 A.M., Currently on level two, "Foundation."

Worship and Word

Sunday, 10:45 A.M.

Just as the the name implies, begins with worship, hear inspiring and challenging Biblical preaching and conclude with a time of prayer and praise around the altar.

Prayer, Praise and Preaching

Sunday, 6:40 P.M.

Sunday night is not a repeat of Sunday morning.  It is a completely different service with a fresh message from God's Word.  It all happens in the sanctuary beginning with prayer.


Wednesday, 7:30 P.M.

Midweek is Bible study time at Southern Oaks.  It begins with worship, prayer and goes right into the Word.  It gives opportunity to acquire knowledge of and apply the principles and precepts of God's Word to your own life.


Friday, 7:30 P.M.

Services and activities vary but the results are incredible.  Interaction with peers, hearing sound teaching from God's Word and giving of skills to bless the Kingdom of God.

Christian Intervention  Program

Southern Oaks United Pentecostal Church is proud to bring to you the Spirit of Freedom Ministries Christian Intervention Program. A 20 week, Bible based, Christian program addressing the alcohol and other drug problems. It is a dynamic tool for freedom from these dependencies. Jesus can set you free. II Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.

New Life Builders is a 5 level course in which students learn how to build a life for the glory of God according to the Bible.  This class meets at 10 A.M. on Sunday mornings and is an elective class that runs concurrent with the Adult Bible Class.

1.  Blueprints - God has a plan for everyone.

2. Foundation - A proper foundation is the key to a strong life.

3. Interior Design - God is particular about the inside of His house.

4. Exterior Design - The outside should reflect the glory of the inside.

5. Open House - A life built for the glory of God blesses others.



The Southern Oaks United Pentecostal Church partners with missionaries on every continent of the earth to assist in carrying out the great commission of Jesus, to go "into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).  Our commitment to Global Missions extends beyond sending finance,  we have full time missionaries under appointment with the United Pentecostal Church International from this congregation. In addition, our pastor is heavily involved in this process as a Global Missions Board member of the UPCI and also serves as coordinator and developer for Strategic Advanced Leadership Training in the Africa region.



The Jonathan Parker family is currently traveling North America to secure Partners in Missions to enable them to pursue their call of ministry in the Philippine Islands.
